Photo Gallery Terms & Conditions

1. Uploading Photos

• You must be logged in to a registered account to upload photos.
• There is no maximum limit on the number of photos you can upload.
• Each photo must include a title and the area of North Wales where the photo was taken.
• You may optionally add a town/village and a short description.
• All photos are subject to review by our team before appearing in the public gallery.

2. Photo Credits & Attribution

• Your name (as shown on your account) will be displayed next to your photo as the photographer credit.
• The location (area and town/village) where the photo was taken will be displayed alongside your name.
• By uploading, you agree to your name being shown publicly with your photo.
• If you wish to remain anonymous, please contact us before uploading.

3. Ownership & Rights

• You must own the copyright to any photo you upload, or have written permission from the copyright holder.
• By uploading a photo, you grant Stay in North Wales a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, resize and show the photo on our website and associated marketing materials.
• You retain full copyright of your photos at all times.
• Photos must not contain watermarks or logos of third-party businesses unless you have permission to use them.

4. Content Standards

• Photos must be of North Wales or relevant to the area.
• Photos must not contain offensive, illegal, discriminatory or inappropriate content.
• Photos must not infringe on the privacy or rights of any identifiable person — if people are clearly visible, you must have their permission.
• Photos must not contain spam, advertising or promotional material for businesses.

5. Moderation & Removal

• All photos are reviewed by our team before going live in the public gallery. This typically takes 1–3 working days.
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any photo that does not meet our standards or violates these terms.
• If your photo is rejected, it will remain visible in your "My Photos" tab with a "Rejected" status.
• You may delete your own photos at any time from your "My Photos" tab.

6. Prohibited Content

• You must not upload photos that are illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory or otherwise objectionable.
• You must not upload photos that contain personal information of others (e.g. phone numbers, addresses, email addresses).
• You must not upload photos of private property without permission where photography is not normally permitted.
• Repeated violations of these terms may result in your account being suspended.

7. Liability

• Stay in North Wales is not responsible for the content of user-uploaded photos.
• You are solely responsible for any photo you upload and any consequences arising from it.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the display or removal of your photos.

8. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the photo gallery constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
• It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
